Machame Gate to Machame Camp

Machame Camp to Shira Camp

Summit Day & Descent to Mweka Camp

Begin your summit attempt shortly after midnight. Reach Uhuru Peak (5,895 m), the highest point in Africa, before descending to Mweka Camp through changing alpine landscapes.

Day 8

Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate

Hiking Distance: 10 km
Hiking Time: 3–4 hours

Complete your descent through the rainforest to Mweka Gate, receive your summit certificate, and return to Moshi for a well-deserved rest.

Day 9

Moshi to Tarangire National Park
