Arrival in Tanzania

Day 2

Londorossi Gate to Mti Mkubwa Camp

Complete registration at Londorossi Gate before driving to the trailhead. Begin your trek through the lush rainforest to Mti Mkubwa Camp, home to towering trees and curious black-and-white colobus monkeys.

Day 3

Mti Mkubwa Camp to Shira 1 Camp

Hiking Time: 5–6 hours

Leave the rainforest behind and climb into the beautiful heath and moorland zone, where spectacular views of Kibo Peak begin to unfold.

Day 4

Shira 1 Camp to Shira 2 Camp

A shorter trekking day allows your body to acclimatize while crossing the expansive Shira Plateau, one of the world's highest volcanic plateaus.

Day 5

Shira 2 Camp to Moir Hut

Continue across alpine desert landscapes toward the remote Moir Hut, an excellent acclimatization camp offering breathtaking mountain scenery.

Day 6

Moir Hut to Buffalo Camp

Cross the quiet northern slopes of Kilimanjaro, enjoying panoramic views toward Kenya while trekking one of the mountain's least crowded routes.

Day 7

Buffalo Camp to Third Cave

Continue your journey across the northern circuit while your body adapts to the increasing altitude in preparation for summit day.

Day 8

Third Cave to Kibo Camp

Day 9

Summit Day & Descent to Mweka Camp

Begin your summit attempt shortly after midnight. Reach Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa, and celebrate this extraordinary achievement before descending through Barafu Camp to Mweka Camp.

Day 10

Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate

Complete your descent through the rainforest to Mweka Gate, where you'll receive your summit certificate before returning to Moshi for a well-deserved rest.

Day 11

Moshi to Tarangire National Park
